KP/FOOD RUNNER (TEHIDY WOODS)
part time/flexible hours

The Role
​

We are seeking a friendly, dependable and efficient Kitchen Porter (KP) and Food Runner to join our team, working on Saturdays and Sundays. As a KP and Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy cafe by assisting in food preparation, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and serving food and drink orders to customers in a timely manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist the kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace to ensure efficient and hygienic food preparation.

​

Dishwashing: Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a hygienic and orderly kitchen.

​

Food Running: Ensure that orders are promptly served to customers with a friendly attitude. Carry prepared food and drinks to customers, ensuring that they are presented attractively.

Communication: Communicate with the kitchen staff and front of house team to coordinate the timing of food delivery and ensure orders are accurate. Respond to customer queries and requests professionally and courteously.

Cleanliness and Hygiene: Support the kitchen staff and front of house team to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the cafe. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

BARISTA (TEHIDY WOODS)
part time/flexible hours

The Role
​

We are searching for a Barista who is passionate about coffee to join our small team at our new cafe at Tehidy Woods. 

​

You will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve coffee & some basic food. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace, and continuously expand your knowledge of coffee and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.

​

Job Responsibilities 

​

​

  • Greeting  customers, informing them about our current roasts, specials  or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.

  • Brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.

  • Preparing food, such as sandwiches or baked goods. 

  • Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about  our coffee.

  • Cleaning and restocking 

  • Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.

  • Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Job Requirements 
​

  • Experience with making/brewing coffee

  • Interest and knowledge of coffee 

  • Willingness to continue learning about coffee and brewing.

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.

  • Availability to work around peak hours, including, early mornings & weekends.

  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.

  • Willingness to work as part of a small high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

BARISTA (LANDS END)

The Role

We are searching for a Barista who is passionate about coffee to join our small team at our converted shipping container coffee shop & roastery. 

​

You will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve coffee & some basic food. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace, and continuously expand your knowledge of coffee and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
